My Journey: From Fear to Freedom
For years, the thought of being seen terrified me. I was the teacher who avoided the spotlight and doubted my worth—even when asked to train peers because of my students' success. The fear of speaking up held me captive until I discovered the powerful tools I now teach.
These practices transformed me. They helped me shift from debilitating fear to confidence, allowing me to stand on stages in front of hundreds, even thousands, of people—fully aligned, grounded, and present.
One of the most pivotal moments of my journey was delivering my talk, "Magnify Your Impact by Igniting Your Fire," to an audience of over 200 women at Polkadot Powerhouse. That experience shifted something deep within me and reminded me why our stories matter.
So many women shared the impact that my talk made on their lives and business. I am wired to make an impact and that shifted my focus from my fears to a powerful mantra of “My mission is greater than my fears.”
Since then, I’ve spoken hundreds of times, in front of thousands, guided countless women, and know in my SOUL that our stories heal, inspire, and create impact that makes a positive ripple in this world.

I want to share a little testimonial for Stephanie and how her speaking literally changed the trajectory of my life.
I met Stephanie at Celebration in Minneapolis two years ago. She was giving a talk, and she spoke about how her mission is greater than her fears. She admitted she was afraid to be up on stage, but she kept telling herself, “My mission is greater than my fears.”
She then did an exercise where she turned the lights down and said, “Everybody take a moment and think about your mission. When the lights go up, I want you to yell out: ‘My mission is…’ and insert your thing here.” At the time, I wasn’t feeling very creative, so I thought, “My mission is greater than my fears—that sounds good. That’s what I’ll say.”
But when the lights came up, what came out of my mouth was: “My mission is greater than what my family thinks.”
At that time, two years ago, I was running a travel business. Fast forward to now—I have a podcast with my daughter. We are sharing our story, we are speaking, and we are helping people learn how to love themselves.
And all of that grew from that one talk that Stephanie gave.

Hi, I am Candace Stangel. I want to talk about how the Speak from your Soul class was with Stephanie Schoolmeester. I want to begin by saying that this year I stepped into not not really being in a place where I was super excited to speak.
I had so much encouragement from Stephanie and the other women that were in the group. It really helped me to become aware of my story and the power of my vulnerabilities that are important and special to share out to the world to impact other people.
Stephanie helped me to dig deep into my soul to find topics that aligned with me. I had the opportunity to talk about my vulnerabilities which I was always taught not to talk about.
